IN THE FAIR

Performances, presentations, author's dinners, guided tours, parties, conversations concerts: the Fair as the focal point of international multidisciplinary meetings devoted to the theme of contemporaneity.

Verba Manent - Exclusive visits to the Fair with important figures in contemporary art such as  art critics, journalists, televison and stage personalities and art lovers.  This is an unusual way to  introduce the public to the facinating language of contemporary art.   Well known personalities such as Alessandro Haber, Fausto Bertinotti, Nicola Spinosa, Piero Maccarinelli, Daniela Ferretti, Massimiliano Tonelli, Ermete Reallacci, Massimo Bottura will guide the public through "their" vision of contemporary art. Guided visits free of charge upon payment of Fair ticket. Reservation is required.  (See Verba Manent)

Eat with art – In the vip lounge Aurora Mazzucchelli, Rosanna Marziale, Nadia Moroni , Cristina Bowerman 4 prestigious female culinary artists and starred chefs will realize a unique and exclusive gastronomic experience; a performance entitled “I don’t throw anything away“ will delight the participants with menus and props changing daily. Food concept by Arabeschi di Latte – a womens’ collective established in 2001, with a love of conviviality and experimentation of new food concepts – for ROMA 2010. Verba Volant – A program of meetings, lectures, debates, presentations on the theme of “The New Patronage”, produced in cooperation with Il Sole 24 Ore. National and international authorities in contemporary art are invited to attend the debates. (see Verba Volant)

Roma.Radio.Art.Fair – The first web radio launched by a Fair with the interdisciplinary aim of networking and experimentation. The programming, curated by Ilari Valbonesi, includes a broad schedule - web streaming and podcast format - dedicated to the world of contemporary art, with interviews to artists, dealers, collectors, museum directors, curators. Furthermore the radio will broadcasts the fascinating sound art productions, author guides, music selections and sound landscapes at the Fair and at the collateral events in order to draw attention to the central themes of contemporary art. www.romaradioartfair.it

Displaying /Displaced – Features Video and Sound Art Performances curated by Roma Radio Art Fair. 15 video artworks by international artists selected from Video’Appart Paris/Dubai Biennial showcased in ROMA in cooperation with Metropolart Cities & Artists; special events by artists from Foreign Institutes and Academies, sound performance and concerts by internationally renowned artists. The Radio as a place of sound becomes an environment of vision, displaying the relationship between different places and languages of contemporary art: on site at the Fair and streaming on www.romaradioartfair.it (see Displaying/Displaced)

4 magazines X 4 parties – ROMA proposes the first program of events dedicated to pubblications of art and ideas. 4 leading magazines in the fields of culture describe in four different ways the world or art, images and trends.
From Wednesday to Saturday, h. 11 pm to 2 am, four events of art, video, photo, music and live performances curated by Bang Art Magazine, Insideart, DROME Magazine and Fefè.

Presentations & Performances – The Fair as a meeting point for artists, professionals, art lovers. Performances by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Maurizio Galimberti, books and catalogues presentations, award ceremonies, music performances, programmes and presentations by Foundations and Associations active in the field of contemporary art.
